Kim Hee Sun dishes out the after-effects of her massive transformation for the MBC Kdrama "Tomorrow."

The action-fantasy series stars SF9 Rowoon, Yun Ji On, and Lee Soo Hyuk as they portray grim reapers of the underworld. Based on the webtoon of the same name, the main characters play a significant role in the world of the living.

Kim Hee Sun transforms into a badass Risk Management team leader Goo Ryeon alongside her teammates Im Ryung Goo (Yun Ji On) and their rookie member Choi Joon Woong (SF9 Rowoon.)

Meanwhile, Lee Soo Hyuk was praised for his impressive portrayal of elite team leader Park Joong Gil who is also Goo Ryeon's nemesis.

"Tomorrow" is Kim Hee Sun's K-drama comeback two years after she headlined the sci-fi fantasy series "Alice" with Joo Won, Kwak Shi Yang, and Lee Da In.

While the 44-year-old actress dons long dark hair playing Yoon Tae Yi, she wowed viewers with her surprising hairstyle in the MBC series. The South Korean beauty exuded a youthful aura with her short and vibrant pink hair. In addition, the actress also donned fashionable street style outfits, playing grim reaper Goo Ryeon.

However, during her interview, she revealed the effects of her hair transformation. As obtained by a media outlet, Kim Hee Sun shared that the stylist repeatedly dyed her hair every four days.

"Now, my hair is very damaged and is falling apart. Looks like I'll have some trouble for a while," she said.

Despite her hair struggle, she had no regrets playing Goo Ryeon and pointed out how "grateful" she is to portray the character.

Moreover, she is also happy with the viewer's reaction to her hair and styling in "Tomorrow."

"I am grateful that people around me responded that pink hair and red shadows go well together than I thought. Thank you so much to the staff who have worked hard so far. lazy at first Ha ha ha."

"Fortunately, people around me said that pink hair and red eyeshadow look better than I thought, so I am grateful," she said, adding, "Thank you so much to the staff who have worked so hard."

Besides constantly dyeing her hair, Kim Hee Sun had to put a lot of effort into her workout routine and diet.

As much as possible, she tries to eat as healthy as possible and drink as much water as she can to replenish moisture.

Since most of her scenes are action, she tries to squeeze in workouts before shooting, noting that this is something she hasn't done before.

"Also, I rarely exercise, but in this work, there is a lot of action during filming, and there are many outdoor scenes, so I tried to exercise even a little during filming," she said.

Following the success of "Tomorrow," Kim Hee Sun is also in talks to make a big screen comeback after 19 years. She is in discussion to the headline rom-com film "Sweet and Warm" with Yoo Hae Jin.
