Shin Jae Ha joins the "Taxi Driver 2" cast following his discharge from the military.
The 29-year-old actor enlisted in the mandatory military service on November 24, 2020, and was officially discharged on May 23, 2022, without returning to his unit in line with the Korean Republican Army's policy amid COVID-19.
After one-and-a-half-year military service, the actor gears up his activities, starting with the SBS action crime drama.
Shin Jae Ha Transforms Into a New Rainbow Taxi Driver in Lee Je Hoon's Kdrama
In an exclusive report cited by a local outlet, Shin Jae Ha has confirmed his appearance in "Taxi Driver 2," which stars Lee Je Hoon.
For the much-awaited sequel, the 29-year-old actor will be portraying Ah Jun On, a new driver for Rainbow Transport, a taxi company that takes personal revenge on behalf of the victims.
Best known for his role as the introverted Kim Hong Sik in the 2017 Kdrama "Trace of the Hand," he made his acting debut in 2014 for the movie "Futureless Things."
Since then, he has played various supporting roles, such as in the rom-com series "Pinocchio" with Lee Jong Suk and Park Shin Hye.
He also appeared in tvN's "Memory," "Prison Playbook" as one of the inmates, "V.I.P" and in RAIN's Kdrama "Welcome 2 Life."
His last appearance on the small screen before enlisting was the 2020 series "My Unfamiliar Family" with Han Ye Ri, Kim Ji Suk, and Choo Ja Hyun.
After his hiatus due to his military duties, Shin Jae Ha officially returns with a new drama.
'Taxi Driver 2' Cast and Release Date
Based on the webtoon of the same name, "Taxi Driver" follows a group who disguises themselves as someone working for a taxi company but undergoes operation by avenging victims of harassment, fraud and other criminal acts from their perpetrators.
Shin Jae Ha will be working alongside Kim Do Ki, played by Lee Je Hoon, the main protagonist, and Rainbow taxi CEO Jang Sung Chul, played by Kim Eui Sung.
"Taxi Driver 2" cast also includes Pyo Ye Jin, who will reprise her role as tech genius Ahn Go Eun.

In addition, viewers will also see the team up of the group with Jang Hyuk Jin as mechanic turned organization member Choi Kyung Goo and Bae Yoo Ram as his right hand, Park Jin Eon.
Following the announcement of the "Taxi Driver 2" cast, Esom, who took the role of fearless prosecutor Kang Han Na will not be returning in the second installment.
Interestingly, reports noted that the SBS series will return in 2023 and recently finished script reading scheduled last June 12.
It is surely one of the most awaited Kdrama in 2023 as "Taxi Driver" becomes the fourth-highest rated SBS Friday-Saturday Kdrama alongside "The Penthouse 2," "Hot Stove League," and "The Fiery Priest."
