The ceremony honors series and variety shows released on streaming services offered in Korea, such asDisney+, seezn, Netflix, Apple TV+, WATCHA, wavve, Kakao TV, Coupang Play, and TVING.
With this, Blue Dragon Series Awards 2022 will be held on July 19 at 7 pm KST in Paradise City in Incheon and to broadcast via Sports Chosun.
Interestingly, the upcoming awards ceremony will be hosted by Girls' Generation's YoonA and Jun Hyun Moo.
According to an outlet, the singer-actress expressed how "delighted" she is to become part of the first-ever Blue Dragon Series Awards
"As an MC for the awards' first-ever ceremony, I will do my utmost with a fluttering heart," she said, while Jun Hyun Moo expressed the same thought and was thrilled and honored to be part of the historic venture.
Interestingly, the ceremony is divided into two categories: drama and entertainment. Under the drama category, Best Supporting Actor is surely a fierce competition between the five stars.

Son Seok Koo 'D.P.'
2021 and 2022 is definitely Son Seon Koo's year as the 39-year-old actor gained massive popularity after starring in back-to-back projects.
For the 1st Blue Dragon Series Awards, he is nominated for his role on Netflix "D.P" led by Jung Hae In and Goo Kyo Hwan.

In the six-part episode K-drama, Son Seok Koo took the role of First Lieutenant Im Ji Sup, an elite graduate of the Korea Military Academy and the Commander of the Military Police who disdains military deserters.
Ahn Bo Hyun 'My Name'
Like Son Seok Koo, Ahn Bo Hyun starred in multiple series in 2021, followed by continued projects in 2022.
However, it was his performance in Netflix's "My Name" that won him a nomination at the 1st Blue Dragon Series Awards.
He took the role of Detective Jeon Pil Do and partnered with the new undercover agent Yoon Ji Woo played by Han So Hee.
Yang Kyung Won 'One Ordinary Day'
Joining a roster of talented lead stars such as Kim Soo Hyun and Cha Seung Won, versatile star Yang Kyung Won was also nominated as Best Supporting Actor for his role as Northern Prison convict Park Doo Shik.
K-drama viewers might recall Yang Kyung Won as one of Captain Ri's men in "Crash Landing on You."
Park Hae Soo 'Squid Game'
The Best Supporting Actor list would not be complete without Park Hae Soo for his impressive performance in "Game Game."
In the blockbuster Netflix original series, Park Hae Soo took the role of Cho Sang Woo or player no. 218, who was Seong Gi Hoon's childhood friend.
Lee Hak Joo 'Political Fever'
Last but not least, joining the nominees for Best Supporting actor is Lee Hak Joo of "Political Fever."
Released in Wavve, he portrayed the role of Kim Soo Jin, who is related to the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism and former Olympic gold medalist.
