An emotional Kim Seon Ho faced the media during the press conference of his theater play "Touching the Void." The 36-year-old actor joins co-star Shin Sung Min, Lee Hwi Jong, Lee Jin Hee, Jung Hwan, Oh Jung Taek, Jo Hoon, Jung Ji Woo, and director Kim Dong Yeon at Art One Theater 2 in Daehak-ro, Jongno-gu, Seoul last July 20 as they talk about the novel based stage play.
Kim Seon Ho on Returning to Theater for 'Touching the Void'
According to a media outlet, Kim Seon Ho discussed his theater comeback noting that he accepted the offer because of the "really good script."
Moreover, he revealed the reason for choosing "Touching the Void" as his first stage play since his hiatus.
"I was offered a role in the play once, and then I met it once again through actor Shin Sung-min," he said, adding, "In fact, I was not picky about whether it would be a movie or a play. I chose it because I believed I could concentrate and executre the play together well with my colleagues."

To recall, before his debut as a K-drama star, Kim Seon Ho began his acting career as a theater actor. His first ever project was in 2009 through the play "New Boeing Boeing."
Shin Sung Min Encouraged Kim Seon Ho to Accept 'Touching the Void'
As the interview continues, the "Start-Up" star revealed what prompted him to join "Touching the Void."
Besides the good script, it was fellow star Shin Sung Min who suggested and encouraged him to return on stage.
As for Shin Sung Min, he revealed that he previously worked with Kim Seon Ho and told the actor that "he really suits the role and he would do well" playing the character.
After advising Kim Seon Ho to "read the script one more time," the 36-year-old star accepted the offer and took the role of mountaineer Joe Simpson.
"Touching the Void" depicts the terrifying journey of two mountaineers, Simpson and Simon Yates, on their descent from Siula Grande in the Peruvian Andes in South America.
It is based on the book Joe Simpson wrote in 1998 as he recounts their near-fatal descent. A movie of the same name was released in 2003.
"Touching the Void" is Kim Seon Ho's comeback project since "Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha" and his months of hiatus after a personal controversy arose.
In addition, he is also set to star in his first ever movie, "Sad Tropics," which started filming in December of 2021.
He will join Go Ah Ra, Kim Kang Woo, and rookie actor Kang Tae Joo.
