'Alchemy of Souls' Hits New All-Time High Ratings
"Alchemy of Souls," starring Jung So Min and Lee Jae Wook, breaks its own records and unlocks a new milestone with its brand new episode!
On July 31, the latest episode of the fantasy romance drama was released and received a new high score.
The new episode of the drama took fans by surprise as it featured the romantic elements between Jung So Min and Lee Jae Wook's characters who shared their first real kiss since the drama premiered.
With this, the tvN drama received an average rating of 7.6% nationwide, marking the drama's highest rating yet.
It is also 2.4% higher than the recorded rating with the pilot episode, proving the drama's success.
"Alchemy of Souls" is now in its eighth week, and it is expected to continue drawing in positive responses from the public as the drama reaches its end.
'Alchemy of Souls' Episode 14 Highlights: Lee Jae Wook Surprises Jung So Min With A Kiss
Despite losing to Seo Yul (Hwang Minhyun) in the final duel, Jang Uk (Lee Jae Wook) became more confident than ever.
Apart from mimicking and mastering his opponents' skills, he can also reach Chisu, a higher level that not many mages can reach.
However, Mu Deok (Jung So Min) sacrificed herself and became the bet's prize. Because Seo Yul won, he took Mu Deok under his care.
Mu Deok visits Jang Uk after longing for him for days. She also spent her day and night searching for the blue jade crystal that the Crown Prince threw away and showed it to Jang Uk as a sign of her love.
Jang Uk then surprises Mu Deok with a kiss, leaving the latter blushing and speechless.

Meanwhile, Master Lee (Im Chul Soo) visits the Royal King as he orders him to find the soul shifter inside the palace.
He reveals that he can recognize a soul shifter from the get-go as he's a soul shifter himself. Jang Uk and Seo Yul, who came with Master Lee to the palace, also realize that the powerful mage knows Mu Deok's true identity.

In the upcoming episode of "Alchemy of Souls," the soul shifter who possesses the powerful ice stone inside the palace will finally be revealed. Jung So Min also gets questioned about her true identity.
