Nam Joo Hyuk Spotted Sporting a Police Uniform for 'Vigilante'

On social media, netizens are thrilled to see photos of Nam Joo Hyuk on the set of the action thriller series.

The actor was spotted wearing a police uniform as he took the role of Kim Ji Yong, a student at a police academy who turns into a vigilante over the weekend.

The revenge was rooted after his mother was murdered at the hands of a local gangster when he was young.

Fans Excited for Nam Joo Hyuk's Comeback for 'Vigilante'

Following Nam Joo Hyuk's photo on the set of "Vigilante" circulated on Twitter, fans and netizens celebrated the actor's comeback.

Many fans expressed how excited they are to see the actor on the small screen playing a different role.

On the other hand, some are thankful that the issue has died down and are looking forward to seeing Nam Joo Hyuk in his new drama.

'Vigilante': What to Expect in Nam Joo Hyuk's New Drama?

The upcoming action thriller K-drama is based on the popular webtoon of the same name.

Joining Nam Joo Hyuk as the lead star is Lee Joon Hyuk, who is set to play Cho Kang OK, the vice chairman of DK Group and the creator of "Vigilante." He designed "Vigilante" due to his fascination with heroes.

Yoo Ji Tae from "Money Heist Korea" will portray Cho Heon, the head of the investigation team at the Metropolitan Investigation Unit.

Adding to the list of lead stars is Kim So Jin from "Through the Darkness," who took the role of Choi Mi Ryeo.

Set to air sometime in 2023, it is still undecided whether to air "Vigilante" on OTT platforms or broadcast networks.

Interestingly, the upcoming webtoon-based series is Nam Joo Hyuk's follow-up project after the mega-hit K-drama "Twenty-Five Twenty-One" with Kim Tae Ri.

It is also his first project since he got involved in the controversy.

What Happened to Nam Joo Hyuk's Bullying Issue?

The sighting of the actor comes months after his name was dragged into school violence and bullying issues.

In June, three accusers came forward and claimed that Nam Joo Hyuk used to be a bully back in high school.

The third accuser even accused the actor of sexually harassing them in their senior year.

Amid the controversy, his agency, Management SOOP, denied the allegations and announced that they had taken legal actions against the reporter and the publication that first released the issue to protect the actor's image.
