"Adamas" episode 5 is indeed a feast of twists and turns as Ji Sung's dual role speeds up the investigation regarding their father's case.
In tvN's Wednesday and Thursday series, Ji Sung plays renowned novel writer Ha Woo Shin and his twin prosecutor Song Soo Hyun, whose mission is to catch the real culprit behind the murder.
'Adamas' Episode 5 Recap: Ha Woo Shin Thinks he Found the Adamas
After staging a fake emergency at the Haesong estate, Ha Woo Shin gets in danger by being trapped inside the Chairman's office.
He was tricked by Ms. Kwon into thinking that the Chairman's secretary, Yoon Jin, was still inside the estate. Thankfully the alarm and gas were put off and were saved by Choi Tae Sung and his team.
On the other hand, Choi Tae Sung asked if he has found what he is looking for; unfortunately, Woo Shin said that he didn't find the Adamas but is certain where it was hidden.
He believes that the Adamas was hidden in the ceiling of the Chairman's office and the only thing that he needs to know is how to get it.
After investigating, Choi Tae Sung tells Woo Shin that there is a button at Chairman Kwon's desk. However, it's quite crucial since he has never gotten to use it. It's either an emergency alarm, similar to the banks, or a button that will lead him to the safe place of Adamas.
Lee Dong Rim Confesses to Ha Woo Shin
With Lee Dong Rim being the closest to Ha Woo Shin, Ms. Kwon took this as an opportunity to manipulate the assistant writer.
She wants him to betray his mentor and report to her everything that she is up to. In return, she will help Dong Rim with his father's health status.
However, sensing that it would definitely put Ha Woo Shin in danger, he asked for help from Chairman Kwon's daughter-in-law, Eun Hye Soo, to transfer his father to a different hospital. As gratitude, he promised not to work for Ms. Kwon.

Unfortunately, Ha Woo Shin thinks that it was a wrong move from Lee Dong Rim. Now, Eun Hye Soo, gets the upper hand and has the power to control Dong Rim and the novel writer.
Song Soo Hyun Disapproves Ha Woo Shin's Plan
While Ha Woo Shin is busy setting up his plan to seize the Adamas, his twin brother Song Soo Hyun was furious upon knowing his purpose for entering Haesong.
He thinks that it was a reckless act and warn his brother not to do anything that might harm him.
However, Ha Woo Shin pointed out that he is certain that the Adamas was the murder weapon and it could be their key to re-open the case.
Since Ha Woo Shin has limited time to finish his plan, he tells Choi Tae Sung that he must steal the Adamas asap.
At the chairman's office, Woo Shin pressed the button, and thankfully, it's not an emergency alarm.
A glass box is slowly coming down from the ceiling, but there was no Adamas, making Woo Shin frustrated.
"They are getting rid of the evidence," he said.
The last scene in "Adamas" episode 5 featured Ms. Kwon running a special errand for her master.
He was carrying the Adamas and giving it to someone who could get rid of the murder weapon.
