'Alchemy of Souls' Episode 18 Highlights: Jung So Min Saves Lee Jae Wook From Death
In episode 18, the drama is subject to an impending danger when Mu Deok (Jung So Min) tries to control the ice stone.
The ice stone creates an impenetrable barrier that divides Songrim, trapping Mu Deok, Jang Uk (Lee Jae Wook), Seo Yul (Hwang Minhyun), Crown Prince Go Won (Shin Seung Ho) and other mages inside.
So Yi (Seo Hye Won), the swindler who pretends to be Jin Bu Yeon, is also trapped in the barrier. To survive, she makes a deal with a soul shifter hiding inside the place.
Because the mages couldn't use their magic spells, the situation has become more disadvantageous for them, making them vulnerable for the soul shifter.
Mu Deok, who is trying to flee with the ice stone, tries not to care for Jang Uk and their friends. However, her heart couldn't bear the thought of him dying inside in the hands of a soul shifter.
With this, she unsheathes her sword and kills the soul shifter. Jang Uk confronts her for keeping the fact that she regained her energy, and asks if she'll kill him, too.
