Lee Yoo Mi scored her first international recognition after winning at the Creative Arts Emmys 2022 for her performance in "Squid Game."
The mega-hit Netflix series received another international achievement after garnering 14 nominations.
Lee Yoo Mi Wins Outstanding Guest Actress
The South Korean star took home Outstanding Guest Actress in a Drama Series. This is for Lee Yoo Mi's remarkable portrayal of player No. 240, Ji Yeong.
She beat her fellow nominees including "Euphoria's" Martha Kelly, "The Morning Show" actress Marcia Gay Harden and "Succession's" Sanaa Lathan, Hope Davis, and Harriet Walter.
So far the 9-episode K-drama bagged four recognitions at the Creative Emmys. It includes Outstanding Stunt Performance, Outstanding Special Video Effects, and Outstanding Production Design.
It can be recalled that "Squid Game" made history after scoring 14 nods at the Emmys 2022. The Netflix series became the first non-English language series nominated for Outstanding Drama Series.
In addition, "Squid Game" Emmys 2022 nominations include Lead Actor in a Drama Series for Lee Jung Jae and Supporting Actress in a Drama Series for Jung Ho Yeon.
Interestingly, Park Hae Soo and Oh Young Soo are both running for Supporting Actor in a Drama Series while Hwang Dong Hyuk earned nods for both Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series and Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series.

Following her remarkable achievement, Lee Yoo Mi dishes on her plans in the future and thoughts about the continued success of "Squid Game."
With her growing popularity, the South Korean star admits that there is a feeling of " heavy responsibility" as an actress.
"Holding it now feels very heavy and it almost feels like a sense of heavy responsibility that I have as an actress," she said, according to Deadline.
Despite this, Lee Yoo Mi is thrilled to see how far she will go as an actress.
"I want to be able to do more with it moving forward," she added.
Interestingly, the actress was also asked for hints about "Squid Game" season 2 and if her character will return for the sequel.

Lee Yoo Mi did not give any further updates but teased fans saying "Season 2 is still a secret. But I think once you watch it, you'll find out."
While the Creative Arts Emmys 2022 was handed out on September 4, the 74th Primetime Emmy Awards will be held live on September 12, hosted by Saturday Night Live cast member Kenan Thompson.

Apart from her impressive win at the Emmys 2022, Lee Yoo Mi will return to the small screen with Mental Coach Je Gal Gil set to premiere on September 12.
In addition, she will also play the highly anticipated sequel for Park Bo Young's "Strong Woman Do Bong Soon" as Lee Yoo Mi will headline "Strong Woman Kang Nam Soon" with Ong Seong Wu.
