Choi Siwon joins world leaders, Hollywood stars, and more as the world mourns for the passing of Queen Elizabeth II.

According to the official statement, Buckingham Palace confirmed the death of Her Majesty, The Queen peacefully died at the age of 96.

Meanwhile, Prince Charles and now His Majesty The King delivered a message saying that his family "mourn profoundly the passing of a cherished Sovereign and a much-loved Mother."

With this, massive crowds gathered outside the Palace as the people paid tribute for the passing of Britain's longest-reigning monarch.

Following the heartbreaking announcement, Choi Siwon paid tribute to Queen Elizabeth II of England and took to social media to express sadness for the royal's death.

On Choi Siwon's Instagram post, he shared a black and white photo of the royal, lauding her achievement as Britain's Queen.

"My utmost respect to her 70 years of achievement to the world. May the Queen Rest In Peace," he wrote.

Apart from the Super Junior member, Hollywood celebrities like British icon Elton John, and Rock legend Sir Paul McCartney took to social media to express how they were saddened to hear Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II's passing.

In addition, world leaders like Ex- U.S President Barack Obama and former first lady, Michelle Obama and Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates and his ex-wife, Melinda Gates also offered a touching tribute to the royal.

Choi Siwon is a member of the boy group Super Junior and is also best known for his K-dramas "She Was Pretty," "Oh! My Lady" and his recent "Work Later, Drink Now."

Apart from it, he also served as UNICEF East Asia and Pacific's new Regional Ambassador and joined activities for the organization's childhood development, education, bullying, social policy, and health programs.

Interestingly, Choi Siwon uses his platform to deliver messages and introduce to 8.8 million followers the organization's activities.

Apart from his socio-humanitarian projects, the 36-year-old star has back-to-back K-dramas in the coming year.

Following the success of his rom-com series "Work Later, Drink Now," Choi Siwon along with Han Sun Hwa, Lee Sun Bin, and Apink's EunJi will reunite for "Work Later, Drink Now" Season 2.

Moreover, viewers will get to his on-screen chemistry as he teams up with Lee Da Hee in the new drama "Icy Cold Romance."

The upcoming K-drama will be under ENA and will showcase a real survival romance between the main characters Goo Yeo Reum and Park Jae Hoon.

In addition, he will also join as one of the cast members of "Planners Capital" starring Kim Yo Han, Girls' Generation's YoonA, and Jung Da Bin.
