English singer, Rita Ora is taking down her microphone for a while as she joins a major movie production, the controversial, “Fifty Shades of Grey.” The R.I.P singer confirmed that she has been cast as Christian Grey’s adopted sister, Mia.
Citing a report by The Hollywood Reporter, the Huffington Post said that the 23-year old singer has nabbed the high-profile role, and she is set to join casts including Jamie Dornan who will play Christian Grey.
Metro UK noted that the singer took to Twitter to share the good news to fans.
‘It’s official! I’ve been cast in @FiftyShades of Grey as Christian’s sister Mia. #FiftyShades,’ Ora was quoted as announcing the news to her millions of followers on Twitter.
Other casts of the film adaptation include Dakota Johnson, who plays Anastasia Steele; Eloise Mumford, Luke Grimes and Max Martini.
This is not the first time that Ora will be appearing in the big screen as she had already appeared in the sixth series of the hit film, “Fast and Furious,” the “Fast Six.” In the film, noted Metro UK, Ora played a sexy race starter in London.
“Fifty Shades of Grey” is based on E L James’ best-selling novel. The film began its production this week and is set to hit theaters in February 2015. The film’s plot follows the “kinky relationship” between Anastasia and Christian.
