Lee Min Ho Expresses Condolences Following Soccer Stadium Disaster in Indonesia

Lee Min Ho took to social media to express his condolences to the families of victims of the soccer stadium crush in Indonesia.

According to CNN, at least 125 people died and more than 300 people were injured after violence occurred during an Indonesian league soccer match.

At the time, two of the country's biggest soccer teams, Arema FC and Persebaya Surabaya were in a match that took place at Malang in East Java.

Unfortunately, supporters of the losing team stormed the field and clashed with the Indonesian security forces.

Due to the fatality of the incident, it is considered one of the world's deadliest stadium disasters of all time.

With this Indonesian President Joko Widodo, halted all league matches until investigations were completed.

Moreover, the president also expressed his sympathy and hoped that this "will be the last to occur in Indonesian football."

Apart from the Indonesian President, Lee Min Ho also expressed condolences to the victims and the families of 122 people who died during the disaster.

Without any caption, Lee Min Ho's Instagram post featured a phrase that reads: "Pray for Indonesia Kanjuruhan."

Over the comment section, both from Indonesia and some parts of the world praised the actor for using his platform for a good cause.

His followers thanked the actor for taking the time to express sympathy for the victims.

Interestingly, "Ask the Stars" is penned by Seo Sook Hyang of "Pasta" and "Miss Korea" screenwriter along with director Park Shin Woo, the genius behind the top K-dramas "Jealousy Incarnate," "Encounter," "It's Okay to Not Be Okay" and "Lovestruck in the City."

Joining the two top stars are Han Ji Eun, Kim Joo Heon, and Oh Jung Se

Gong Hyo Jin and Lee Min Ho's drama "Ask the Stars" is slated to premiere sometime in 2023.
