Actor Song Kang Ho (46) is to play the main male protagonist in the upcoming movie, "The Lawyer."
"It touched me to see the person who had lived the 1980s in Korea. He had strong will and vast dream in the 1980s, when he was in his 30s. I wonder what I was doing in the 1980s... honestly, I felt embarrassed."
Actor Song Kang Ho confessed that he had once turned down the role of the lawyer Song Woo Suk for the movie "The Lawyer." It was not only because the movie modeled the deceased former president of Korea, Roh Moo Hyun. Rather, Song Kang Ho says he felt pressured to portray the life of a person who once lived.
Song Kang Ho, however, changed his mind, attracted to the tragic yet passionate life that made his heart throb. Song Kang Ho, who had worked with renowned Korean film directors such as Park Chan Wook, Bong Joon Ho, and Kim Ji Woon, is to work with the new director Yang Woo Suk in filming "The Lawyer." Movie "The Lawyer" is a story of a judge Song Woo Suk, played by Song Kang Ho, is a high school graduate who goes back to his hometown Bu San to open a lawyer's office.
Movie "The Lawyer" is to premiere in Korea on December 18, 2013.
