Son Seok Koo had a look back at his humble beginnings before his fame. The versatile star recently appeared as a guest in "You Quiz on the Block'' where he spoke about his growth from being an art student, working to their family's business, and now as an actor.

The actor tells host Yoo Jae Suk about his surprising work before becoming a celebrity.

Son Seok Koo Used to Work as Sales Man for His Family's Company

He mentioned that his family runs a business, which made Son Seok Koo among those celebrities who were born with a silver spoon.

His family's business has an annual earning of 5.5 billion won; however, instead of following in the footsteps of his father, he chose to make a name for himself in the world of acting.

During his appearance in "You Quiz on the Block'', he shared that he started his interest in acting when he joined a stage play.

"I happened to attend an acting academy and act in a play, and I thought it fit my aptitude, " he said adding how he discovered his love for acting "First of all, there was romance. Practicing and doing something in front of people. Actually, I didn't like acting before that. As I got older, my thoughts became different."

Now, Son Seok Koo is one of the versatile stars in Hallyu. He delivers impressive performances whether it's a role for a lead star or a villain.

Among his famous works includes "Designated Survivor: 60 Days," "D.P.," the smash hit K-drama "My Liberation Notes" and the record-breaking movie "The Roundup."
