Song Hye Kyo and Song Joong Ki made a huge buzz in the second half of 2022 for their blockbuster K-dramas "The Glory" and "Reborn Rich."
With this, viewers lauded the former couple for their "genre-switch" as they step out of their comfort zone.
To recall, the two top stars are known for their hit rom-com series such as "Sungkyunkwan Scandal" for Song Joong Ki and "Full House" for Song Hye Kyo as well as delivering top-notch performances in melodrama serries like "That Winter, The Wind Blows" and "Descendants of the Sun" which stars the duo.
Interestingly, for their return to the small screen, Song Hye Kyo and Song Joong Ki stunned fans with a different performances playing the main characters in the revenge series.

However, years later, she returned with plans to get back at the perpetrators who victimized her.
With Song Hye Kyo and Song Joong Ki starring in different genres, the report pointed out that there's no need for the two to have a "genre-switch" but the important thing is to have a story that viewers can relate to or be entertained through the beautiful storyline and amazing cast lineup.
What's Next for Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo After 'Reborn Rich' and 'The Glory'?
With "Reborn Rich" still undecided if the show will return with a new season, Song Joong Ki stars in multiple movies this 2023.
Apart from the long-awaited premiere of "Bogota: City of Lost" the South Korean heartthrob will headline "Hwaran" and "Ro Ki Wa."
As fo Song Hye Kyo, she will reprise her role in "The Glory Season 2" premiering on March 2023 as well as team up with Han So Hee in the thriller mystery series "The Price of Confession."
