Will IU's 'My Mister' Get A Chinese Adaptation?
tvN's high-rated series "My Mister," starring IU and Lee Sun Gyun, became a hot topic on various online communities after rumors erupted that the drama is being prepared for a remake in China.
Shen Yue (from "A Love So Beautiful" and 2018 "Meteor Garden" remake) is said to be considering taking the lead role, alongside Chen Jianbin.
According to the report provided by WikiTree on January 18, the news of the "My Mister" Chinese remake was first posted on Weibo in November 2022.
Shen Yue was reportedly offered to portray Lee Ji An. However, the actress denied the news.
The said adaptation has recently attracted the attention of Koreans all of a sudden this 2023.
There is no confirmed news yet from the Chinese media whether the remake is true.

"My Mister" follows the story of a debt-laden young lady Lee Ji An, who is struggling to stay buoyant as she nurses her sick grandmother and works a temporary job. She develops a connection with one of her supervisors, Park Dong Hun.

IU & 'My Mister' Receive Multiple Awards
"My Mister" recorded the highest nationwide rating of 7.3 percent based on Nielsen Korea's data during "My Mister's" run in 2018.
In addition to its achievements, the series won the TV Drama and Screenplay Award at the 55th Baeksang Arts Awards, and lead actress IU won the Best Actress Award at the 6th Asia Pacific Star Awards, the Asian Hottest, Star Pay Popularity, and 3rd Asia Artist Awards.
Where is 'My Mister' Cast Now?
Five years after the drama concluded, the cast members are still in the entertainment industry, and working on their soloprojects. Lee Sun Gyun recently made his small-screen comeback through the series "Payback" alongside Moon Chae Won.
IU is still in discussion about joining various dramas and might return to acting soon.
Veteran actress Ko Do Shim appeared in "Island" with Kim Nam Gil and Lee Da Hee. She is expected to make return in the drama's second installment to be released in February.
Jang Ki Yong is currently in his military service.
Meanwhile, Lee Ji Ah is also preparing for a new drama this year with "Lady."
