Throughout the years, South Korean multimedia has grown bigger and bigger. It even penetrated the global scene with its world class works like "Squid Game," "Goblin" and "Hellbound," to name a few.

In this list are the accomplished K-drama actresses who successfully showed their versatility and extraordinary transformations for their acting roles. Read on to know more.

Jeon Do Yeon in 'Crash Course in Romance'

In the past years, Jeon Do Yeon has only taken on acting projects that lean on works that exude melancholia and darker themes like "Lost" and "The Good Wife."

Often seen in melodramas like "Descendants of the Sun," "Now, We Are Breaking Up" and "Full House," the actress has been criticized for choosing similar roles since she made her debut.

However, she proved the critics wrong when she returned to the small screen as Moon Dong Eun, a woman who plans to avenge herself from the people who tortured her in the past.

Her subtle gestures and facial expressions truly impressed the viewers, especially her portrayal of pain and repugnance. With this, the actress has dominated the charts for four consecutive weeks.

"The Glory" also accumulated over 200 million viewing hours as of this writing, following "Squid Game" (2 billion hours) and "My Name" (600 million hours).
