"Taxi Driver 2" writer lauded Lee Je Hoon's phenomenal acting playing the anti-hero role in the crime-action series.
Screenwriter Oh Sang Ho, who also wrote "Fabricated City" and "Taxi Driver Season 1," spoke about the difference between the original and the sequel as well as Lee Je Hoon's portrayal of Kim Do Ki.
'Taxi Driver 2' Writer Chose Most Memorable Scenes in Season 1
In a report cited by a local media outlet, Oh Sang Ho says that one of the most remarkable scenes in season 1 is the fish buyer disguise of Kim Do Gi.
Moreover, the writer also admitted that he was nervous during the broadcast of the pilot episode since it will be the introduction of the whole series.

"Since it was an episode introducing the concept, I was excited and worried about how viewers would accept it," he said. Thankfully, Lee Je Hoon played the role with a completely different look, making the scene more intense.

"Even the minor roles with only one or two lines, performed surprisingly well," he said, adding, "This is the result of combining the capabilities of the production team cast in the right place."
Joining Lee Je Hoon who will reprise their roles are Kim Eui Sung, Pyo Ye Jin, Bae Yoo Ram, and Jang Hyuk Jin who are all part of the Rainbow Taxi group.
While Esom, who played Prosecutor Kang Ha Na, initially confirmed that she will not join the second season due to schedule conflicts, "Crash Course in Romance" star Shin Jae Ha will be the team's rookie driver On Ha Joon.
What To Expect in 'Taxi Driver' Season 2 According to Writer
In the same interview, the screenwriter says that the drama's second season will illustrate more intense scenes.
Moreover, Oh Sang Ho shared that "taxi Driver 2" will have changes in genre, tone and even the level of brutality and comedy will have changes.
"If Season 1 focused on building a model taxi worldview, Season 2 varied the genre more colorfully and boldly based on the completed worldview," he explained.
"Taxi Driver 2" release date is set on February 17, airing every Friday and Saturday via SBS and Viu TV.
