Suzy 'Unfit' As 'Doona'? Viewers Believe So For This Reason
In 2022, it was confirmed that Suzy is gearing up for her next screen project with "Doona," Netflix's new webtoon-based series that tells the love story of a male university student who moves into an apartment where he finds an ex-idol who left her career because to personal reasons. He tries to avoid her but finds himself growing more curious about her mysterious life.
"Suzy is prettier than the manhwa character."
"Suzy is obviously pretty, but I'm not sure if that female character has any charms."
"What exactly is the type of character Lee Doo Na is? Suzy is pretty though."
"Probably because the author writes male-centric stories, people are saying isn't suited for the role."
"Apart from the fact that Suzy is pretty, Lee Doo Na's image doesn't suit her."
Meanwhile, "Doona" is Suzy's first drama this 2023 following her Coupang Play's "Anna" in 2022. In the drama, she played the titular character, a woman who lived another person's life with her name, family, academic background, and even the past.
In "Doona," Suzy will be joined by Yang Se Jong. Though there's no confirmed date yet for its release, it is already set that the romance drama is about to meet the viewers in the streaming giant Netflix in the first half of 2023.
