From rom-com to revenge drama, Song Hye Kyo proves her versatility after "Ther Glory" made a huge hit.
The actress once expressed her gratitude to her previous K-drama "Autumn in My Heart" for being recognized as one of the best. According to a media outlet, Song Hye Kyo's drama often garners high viewership ratings, especially her KBS series "Autumn in My Heart," also known as "Autumn Tale."
Released in 2000, the Hallyu star headlined the series, along with Song Seung Heon, while Moon Geun Young and Choi Woo Hyeok played the young version of their characters.
Helmed by Yoon Seok Ho of "Winter Sonata," "Love Rain," and "Summer Scent," along with screenwriter Oh Soo Yun, the melodrama is one of the highest rating K-dramas under KBS, with an average viewership rating of 38.6 percent, and reached a peak viewership of 46.1 percent.
In addition, the Song Hye Kyo-led K-drama is known as the prime of the "Korean Wave." Due to its popularity, it was remade in Filipino, Thai, and Chinese.
