Kim Gun Woo shared his thoughts about the idea of him looking like K-heartthrob Kim Woo Bin.

In an interview with a media outlet last March 23, Kim Gun Woo talked about his role as Son Myeong Oh in Netflix's megahit series "The Glory." His character is one of Moon Dong Eun's (Song Hye Kyo) bullies in high school.

Following the release of "The Glory" Part 2, Kim Gun Woo caught the viewers' attention as Son Myeong Oh had character development and held a key to one of the interesting plot twists in the story.

According to the "Fight for My Way" star, he still feels overwhelmed with the significant changes happening in his career since he starred in the popular series. He said, "People ask for pictures and autographs. Whenever I go out to eat, they give me complimentary dishes."

He finds it sweet that people approach him in a friendly way even though he portrayed a bad character in "The Glory." Other people also told him that they were surprised to see the actor smiling, as it was opposite to his role.

One more thing that shocked him was his father. Kim Gun Woo's father used to hate villains, but it turned out that he liked his son's gangster image in the series. The actor added that his father enjoyed watching and was happy with the drama's success.

When asked about his role model, he confidently referred to Hollywood star Matthew McConaughey.

Meanwhile, as Kim Gun Woo made his drama comeback, people noticed his resemblance to K-heartthrob Kim Woo Bin. Some claim that the two are not just similar in appearance but also their path to stardom.

To recall, Kim Woo Bin rose to stardom after playing as the rival of the lead character, Choi Young Do, in "The Heirs." Similarly, Kim Gun Woo is establishing his name with his role as Son Myeong Oh.

However, the actor humbly disagreed that he looks like Kim Woo Bin.

According to him, "'I am sorry.' That's what I want to tell Kim Woo Bin if I happen to meet him."

The celebrity added, "He might not be aware that I have been called 'the next Kim Woo Bin.' But still, I want to apologize."

He then explained, "I apologize because people say I look like him when Kim Woo Bin is much cooler and handsome. I am grateful for the compliment but it is a guilt trip."
