'Kill Bok Soon' Involved in Controversy For Exposing Political Views
Netflix dropped Jeon Do Yeon's new movie "Kill Bok Soon" on March 31. It follows the journey of a professional assassin Kil Bok Soon, who decides to quit doing contract murdering to break down the barrier between her relationship with her daughter.
Big stars Seol Kyung Gu, Goo Kyo Hwan, and Esom also starred in this project.
Apart from these, some questioned whether the movie implied that Ilbe users slandered Jeolla-do residents as pro-North Koreans and insulted them in the past.
To recall, in 2017, Director Byun Sung Hyun was embroiled in an "Ilbe" controversy due to his "inappropriate" remarks in his movie "The Merciless."
With his new work, there are also controversial parts as it accused some known personalities in Korea of being killers.
People who have seen the information being talked about in the movie shared their mixed reactions about the film.
"I feel sorry for the actors."
"It's hateful."
"I won't watch this movie."
"We need to listen to the director's opinion also."
