In a report cited by the Korea Times, the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency (SMPA) seized his home as part of the probe into allegations of illicit drug use.
Besides the actor's property, authorities also conducted a search and seizure of clinics and hospitals that were suspected of prescribing or providing the actor with illegal substances.
It was after Yoo Ah In tested positive for four types of drugs: cocaine, ketamine, marijuana, and propofol.
Moreover, the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety also suspects the actor of using propofol more than 100 times since 2021.
Due to the drug controversy, the award winning star is barred from leaving South Korea, which prompted him to withdraw from the upcoming sequel of "Hellbound."
With Yoo Ah In leaving the thriller mystery series, he was replaced by Kim Sung Cheol of "Our Beloved Summer."
