The 34-year-old actor will be among the selected South Korean celebrities who have made their Hollywood debut.
Back in 2021, rumors sparked that he would be joining a Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) project.
At the time, industry representatives revealed that he was selected to play a character in the "Captain Marvel" sequel, joining Brie Larson.
In a report, he went to United States for filming after completing the production of his K-drama with Han So Hee.
Months later, his agency, Awesome Entertainment, officially confirmed the news but declined to give further details, such as his character for the Hollywood project.
Amid this, he is also speculated to play the Korean-American teen hero, Amadeus Cho.
A year later, The Walt Disney Company's Asia-Pacific Region President, Luke Kang, announced Park Seo Joon's movie with MCU would premiere in July 2023.
Besides his first Hollywood project, Park Seo Joon teams up with Han So Hee in the action thriller series "Gyeongseong Creature."
Directed by Jung Dong Yoon of "Hot Stove League" and "It's Okay to Not Be Okay," the upcoming K-drama will have two seasons and will be on Netflix.
"Gyeongseong Creature" is Park Seo Joon's K-drama comeback three years after airing "Itaewon Class" with Kim Da Mi.
