Actor Lee Byung Hun received the Best Actor Award at the seventh Asia Pacific Screen Awards (APSA) which took place in the afternoon of December 12, 2013, in Australia, with his role in the movie "Masquerade." This was the first best actor award from an international film festival that Lee Byung Hun received. Lee Byung Hun on this day was not able to attend the awards ceremony, and the producer Won Dong Yeon of the Real Lions received the award on behalf of Lee Byung Hun.
Lee Byung Hun played the main character of the movie "Masquerade," which amassed over 100 million audiences in Korea. Lee Byung Hun earlier this year received the Grand Bell Best Actor's Award for his role in the movie "Masquerade" as well. In addition to his popularity in Korea, this was the first time that evidenced his international fame, in addition to his popularity in Japan and Hollywood.
