"My Dearest" episode 9, focuses on Namgoong Min's return to Joseon as he fulfills his promise to Ahn Eun Jin. However, he was welcomed by surprising news regarding her soon-to-be wedding.

Helmed by "The Veil" director Kim Sung Yong and "Joseon Attorney" Lee Han Joon, "My Dearest" is a two-part historical K-drama that depicts the story of a mysterious warrior named Lee Jang Hyuk (Namgoong Min), whose only concern is surviving the war. However, amid a tumultuous era, he meets a fearless noblewoman named Yoo Gil Cha (Ahn Eun Jin).

As the duo gets closer, they realize that they have fallen for each other but were caught up in a chaotic time.

Apart from Namgoong Min and Ahn Eun Jin, "My Dearest" also includes Lee Da In as noblewoman Kyung Eun Ae. She is one of the closest friends of Gil Chae and the wife of Nam Yeon Jun, played by Lee Hak Joo, who is Gil Chae's longtime crush.

As the episode nears its finale, things get intense between the duo as well as the crisis during the Joseon War.

'My Dearest' Episode 9 Recap

Aired on September 1, "My Dearest" episode 9 focuses on Yoo Gil Chae's survival after her hometown got run down by intruders. All their possessions, including expensive silks, porcelains, and accessories, were all wiped out.

In the last scene, Lee Jang Hyuk and Goo Jam came back together with the Crown Prince.

As he entered the village, people were talking about the upcoming wedding of a noblewoman.

He was surprised to see that it was Yoo Gil Chae. On the other hand, Gil Chae was stunned to see Lee Jang Hyuk alive.
