'The Matchmakers' Causes Disappointment To Viewers After Debut Due to Miscasting
Despite the excitement and hype that the drama received before its release, "The Matchmakers" immediately caused disappointment to some.
People are saying that the character does not suit Cho Yo Hyun, who has a younger and teenage look.
It gets more regrettable for some as the breakout star who has had no previous controversies about her acting skills, was dubbed as a 'monster rookie' and received great critical acclaim for her roles in "All of Us Are Dead" and "Hospital Playlist."

However, since the drama just started, it is still too early to criticize and come up with a final judgment about the actress' performance. Her case is being compared to actress Ahn Eun Jin, who faced miscasting controversy through her ongoing series "My Dearest."
But as the drama progressed, the tables had turned and her character development and solid acting became more prominent, impressing the audience with her overall performance in the series. Due to this, she immediately dispelled the miscasting controversy.
Others are hoping the same for Cho Yi Hyun in the upcoming episodes of "The Matchmakers."
The Monday-Tuesday drama garnered an average viewership rating of 4.5 percent on its pilot episode, which gives hope to the struggling KBS weekday drama lineup. Though consistently high ratings are not guaranteed, in this situation, the pressure is on the young star to convince the audience with her character.
