Ahead of the much-awaited ceremony, the committee organizers have unveiled the host for the Grand Bell Awards 2023.
The prestigious annual event, also known as the Daejong Film Awards, is in its 59th year of honoring exceptional individuals and projects from movies and series in the industry.
Organized by the Motion Pictures Association of Korea, the 59th Grand Bell Awards will take place on November 15 at the Gyeonggi Arts Center in Suwon. The committee 59th Grand Bell Awards announced the official hosts for the upcoming annual awards ceremony.
Who Will be the Grand Bell Awards 2023 Hosts?
In 2022, Kim Tae Hoon from "My Dearest" and Kang Na Yeon hosted the event, which was aired live on ENA, YouTube, and Twitter.
Interestingly, the upcoming 59th Grand Bell Awards will be hosted by veteran stars. As mentioned by a news outlet, the organizing committee has officially selected Cha In Pyo and Jang Do Yeon as the main hosts for the annual event.
Cha In Pyo is best known for his role in "Endless Love" as Chun Tae Woong, making him the "first generation" of the Korean Wave.
Meanwhile, Jang Do Yeon is a notable comedian and the newest host of MBC's "Radio Star," making her the perfect choice for the ceremony.
Following the announcement regarding the official host for the 59th Grand Bell Awards, an official from the committee organization shared what prompted them to tap the duo.
"As part of the multifaceted changes being promoted by the new organizing committee chairman Kim Yong Ki, we have selected broadcaster Jang Do-yeon and actor Cha In-pyo as the emcees of the awards ceremony."
