'Wonderful World' Confirmed to Release in 2024
As cited by a news outlet on November 13, Cha Eun Woo and Kim Nam Joo's first drama team-up "Wonderful World" is confirmed to air on MBC sometime in 2024. Though there is no exact date yet, it will occupy the Friday and Saturday slots.
Other cast members to join the series are Lee Se Mi and Kim Kang Woo. It has been said that the actors and the production are already filming the drama.
What We Know So Far About 'Wonderful World'
"Wonderful World" is a healing-thriller series that takes place when Eun Soo Hyun (Kim Nam Joo), who lost her young son, directly punishes the perpetrator who escaped the law.
Cha Eun Woo is Kwon Sun Yool, a man who grows up in a rich family but ends up losing his parents due to a series of events. After he drops out of medical school, he leads a rough life until he crosses paths with Eun Soo Hyun and they begin to heal each other's wounds.
A member of the production team shared that viewers will be able to see a different and rough charm of the heartthrob through his new character Kwon Sun Yool. They teased that Cha Eun Woo's character will keep the majority guessing about what he hides behind his good looks.
The series will be helmed by "Tracer" and "Voice 2" director Lee Seung Young, who will join forces with Kim Ji Eun to pen the script.
Through this work, Kim Nam Joo will return to the small screen for the first time after six years, and Cha Eun Woo will present his third work at MBC following "Rookie Historian Goo Hae Ryung" and his ongoing drama "A Good Day to Be a Dog."
"Wonderful World" airms to premiere in 2024.
Cha Eun Woo's 'A Good Day to Be a Dog' Ratings Continue to Drop
The "True Beauty" actor is expected to maintain his small screen projects from the last quarter of 2023 to the first half of 2024.
Meanwhile, while waiting for Cha Eun Woo's new project, you can watch him on "A Good Day to Be a Dog," which airs every Wednesday on MBC. He reunites with popular actress Park Gyu Young and Lee Hyun Woo in the series.
However, despite the talented cast lineup, the webtoon-based drama is receiving low ratings, and viewers blame the scheduled broadcast, which greatly affected Cha Eun Woo's comeback series.
