Ji Chang Wook is beginning the year with a jam-packed schedule as the South Korean hearthrob stars in the new drama "The Mantis."

From his back-to-back K-dramas in 2023, viewers will get to see the 36-year-old actor in an upcoming series.

Ji Chang Wook Selected to Headline 'The Mantis'

In an exclusive report cited by Ten Asia, Ji Chang Wook plays one of the lead stars in "The Mantis."

Back in November 2023, the actress' agency, IOK Company, announced that the actress was courted to headline the upcoming drama series and is "currently reviewing and discussing the offer."

Following the news about the actor, Ji Chang Wook's agency, has responded and clarified that the actor declined the casting offer due to schedule conflicts.

What's Next for Ji Chang Wook?

In 2024, Ji Chang Wook stars in multiple K-dramas, which only means that fans will get to see more of the actor as he plays various characters.

Among the many lineup projects for the South Korean hearthrob is the drama series "Sculpture City."

Directed by Kim Chang Ju of "Hard Hit" and penned by Oh Sang Ho, the genius behind "Taxi Driver" seasons 1 and 2, and "Fabricated City," the upcoming series also stars Doh Kyungsoo.

The series depicts the story of a man who used to live an ordinary and simple life; however, things changed after an incident that made things turn into hell.

This is where he meets the villain, who manipulates individuals and sculpts real hell into people's lives.

In addition to Ji Chang Woo's list of K-dramas is the crime drama "Bulk" with Ha Yoon Kyung and Jo Woo Jin.

Furthermore, fans get to see the actors in the historical K-drama "Queen Woo," Kim Moo Yeol, Jeon Jong Seo Jung Yoo Mi, and Lee Soo Hyuk.

Taking place in Goguryeo, Ji Chang Wook transforms into King Go Nam Moo, who married Woo Hee, who is set to become the first woman in history to become queen twice.

Meanwhile, versatile actor Kim Moo Yeol takes on the role of Prime Minister Eul Pa So,, who becomes the king's trusted advisor

"Celebrity" actress Jung Yumi plays the queen'ssister, WooSSun,n while Lee Soo Hyuk will be the drama's villain as he portrays the violent Prince Go Bal Ki.

As of this writing, drama officials have yet to confirm the show's schedule, but fans are looking forward to seeing Ji Chang Wook as a King.
