Amid his legal battle with drug issues, Yoo Ah In is rumored to make his acting comeback with "Goodbye Earth." The drama's production team released a statement on the matter.

Yoo Ah In became a hot topic again after media insiders reported that he is gearing for a small screen return soon.
On March 9, famous streaming giant Netflix released a statement revealing some information about the much-awaited premiere of the series "Goodbye Earth."
"There's now a fixed schedule for the release of 'Goodbye Earth.' We will announce the release date through official reports as soon as it is confirmed."
This immediately captured the public's attention as it was known that Yoo Ah In was the male lead of the series.

Netflix then gave their side about Yoo Ah In's appearance in the project:
"Actor Yoo Ah In appears as a character that builds the main story. Therefore, we ask for your understanding that it is hard to provide detailed information about his role ahead of the drama's release."
However, on the same day, some reports stated that "Goodbye Earth" had confirmed its premiere this April 26. Netflix immediately refuted and denied the date release circulating online.
"Goodbye Earth" features the story of a world and people living the rest of their time ahead of a predicted apocalypse, 200 days until the Earth and an asteroid collide.

Apart from Yoo Ah In, "The Good Bad Mother" actress Ahn Eun Jin is also part of the main cast members, same with Jeon Sung Woo. According to the source, the team has already completed filming the series but the production was postponed indefinitely due to Yoo Ah In's involvement in drugs.
Yoo Ah In's Drug Case Update
To recall, the notable actor is accused of administering different kinds of drugs from September 2020 to March 2023. The authority believed that Yoo Ah In received prescriptions and bought sleeping pills illegally from March 2021 to October 2023 and is now being investigated by the people around him.
As an update to his ongoing drug battle, the Seoul Central District Court held the trial for the actor on charges of violating the Narcotics Control Act. Aside from that, the "Chicago Typewriter" actor was accused of administering propofol habitually, and receiving prescriptions of sleeping pills illegally under the name of other people.
