Hallyu star Yoon Ji On is coming back to the spotlight with a brand new drama this 2024, following his back-to-back success in the past years with "Tomorrow" and "My Lovely Liar."

The 33-year-old actor was cast in the upcoming romance comedy series "Golden Boy" which is headlined by Jung So Min and Jung Hae In.

Yoon Ji On To Play Dedicated Journalist In Upcoming K-drama

On March 14, news outlets reported that Yoon Ji On was cast in the upcoming tvN production of the romance comedy series "Golden Boy."

Earlier this year, seasoned actors Jung So Min and Jung Hae In confirmed their participation in the show as the lead stars, raising anticipation among the fans.

The series follows the story of a woman who plans to reset her life to forget about her mother's friend's son whom she fell in love with in the past.

In response to the reports, IEUM Hashtag announced that actor Yoon Ji On has confirmed his appearance as Kang Dan Ho, a passionate journalist who pursues nothing but the truth.

He becomes friends with Bae Seok Ryu, Choi Seung Hyo and Jung Mo Eum, played by Jung So Min, Jung Hae In and Kim Ji Eun, respectively, after he moves into their neighborhood.

Through the new drama, Yoon Ji On is expected to showcase his freer personality after taking on dark-themed roles in the past in "Tomorrow," "My Lovely Liar" and "Jirisan," to name a few.

Focus is given to Yoon Ji On's acting transformation this year so make sure to check it out. Meanwhile, Park Ji Young, Jo Han Chul and Park Young Nam are also parts of the cast.

Here's What To Expect From Yoon Ji On This 2024

Besides "Golden Boy," Yoon Ji On was also cast in the much anticipated series "Is It Fate?."

It marks his first K-drama with Chae Jong Hyeop, and his reunion drama with Kim So Hyun whom he worked with in "My Lovely Liar" last year.

In the much anticipated series, he transforms into a narcissistic novelist named Bang Joon Ho who develops a special relationship with Kim So Hyun.

Meanwhile, "Is It Fate?" has been in production since 2022 however, there's no news regarding its release yet so stay tuned for new updates on the drama.
