'Queen of Tears' Ranks No.1 In Netflix Global Top 10 Non-English Category
Running on its fifth week on primetime, tvN's hottest weekend drama "Queen of Tears" ranked first in Netflix's Global Top 10 series in the non-English category ranking based on the record from March 25 to 31.
In addition to this, Kim Ji Won and Kim Soo Hyun's first drama team-up has accumulated 93.8 million viewing hours since its release on March 9.
The series expands its global popularity every week and attracts more viewers in different parts of the world.
Flix Patrol, a global OTT content ranking service mentioned that since the drama's first week broadcast, it has been released as a TV series in both English and non-English languages, including the United States, Canada, Australia, Japan, Greece, Turkey, India, Saudi Arabia, Argentina, Brazil, and Mexico.

"Queen of Tears" also maintains to be in the top 10 most-watched dramas in 68 countries. Park Ji Eun's masterpiece did not just receive high ratings in Korea but also caught the interest of major overseas media outlets.
Some even compete to shed light on the global craze for weekend drama. Leading American media outlet, TIME published an article titled, "'Queen of Tears' a Fresh and Worth Watching K-Romance That Breaks Old Conventions."
In the article, it was mentioned that it is a drama that twists what the viewers usually expect from K-series and takes a fresh approach. The multiple genres feature in the work also receive praise from the audience, as the romance, comedy, melo, and revenge are well delivered in the drama.
Meanwhile, episode 8, released on March 31, recorded an average score of 16.1 percent, breaking its previous viewership rating. Not only did "Queen of Tears" break its own highest ratings for four consecutive weeks, it also ranked first in its time slot on all channels.
FUNdex, the official platform of Good Data Corporation, revealed that Kim Ji Won and Kim Soo Hyun's romance series has occupied the top spot as the most popular K-drama for four weeks already.
