Taking on the iconic role, Lee Je Hoon transforms into a detective named Park Young Han.
The upcoming series is a prequel to the long-running K-drama "Chief Inspector," which aired from 1971 to 1989.
Lee Je Hoon's new drama will focus on the life of rookie Park Young Han before he became a hotshot detective.
Set in 1958, the series will also uncover how the detective and his team successfully handled the case, giving Jongnam Police Station the highest arrest rate.
Joining him are Lee Dong Hwi, Choi Woo Sung, Yoon Hyun Soo, and Seo Eun Soo.
Other than this, viewers get to see the original actor who played Park Young Han through veteran actor Choi Bool Yan. He is joined by fellow stars Lee Soon Jae and Park Geun Hyung, who also appeared in the original series.

Playing the role of a former special forces agent named Kim Do Ki, he decides to enter a secret organization that punishes criminals and protects victims.
The secret organization was founded by Blue Bird chairman Jang Sung Chul, who recruited Do Ki to be part of the Rainbow Taxi team.
Joining him are Choi Kyung Goo (Jang Hyuk Jin), Park Jin Eon (Bae Yoo Ram), and IT genius Ahn Go Eun (Pyo Ye Jin).
'Move to Heaven'
Other than action, Lee Je Hoon made viewers cry buckets as he headlined the webtoon-based series "Move to Heaven."
Together with Tang Jung Sang, the story highlights how special the 20-year-old Han Geu Roo is.
Despite his condition, he managed to fulfill his father's dreams under the supervision of his uncle, Cho Sang Gu (Lee Je Hoon).
'Signal'
Another hit K-drama that Lee Je Hoon starred in is the crime thriller K-drama "Signal."
Penned by the renowned Kim Eun Hee, the 2016 series depicts the story of cold cases in Korea and how a criminal profiler solved them with the help of a senior detective.
Lee Je Hoon headlined the series with award-winning stars Kim Hye Soo and Jo Jin Woong.
