The network and the K-drama's production team recently announced their plan to air a special broadcast after the drama's finale, and revealed that these aim to "ease disappointment" from viewers.
'Queen of Tears' Speculated To Have Sad Ending
Ahead of the finale, fans are already speculating the possible ending of the weekend Netflix drama "Queen of Tears."
On April 13, it was announced that the series will air additional two episodes. Its aim is to "ease everyone's disappointment" with the conclusion, which left viewers with the theory that the series wouldn't have a happy ending.
"Queen of Tears" is already nearing conclusion, and the people are already guessing how Baek Hyun Woo and Hong Hae In's love story will end.
In particular, Episode 11 showed Hong Hae In's worsening health. She realized that she now can't recognize faces, making things complicated for her and her ex-husband Baek Hyun Woo.

While Baek Hyun Woo is always there to save her from danger and their enemy Yoon Eun Sung (Park Sung Hoon), and amid the progress in his and Hae In's romance, many are skeptical whether the she will miraculously recover from her terminal illness.
Nevertheless, considering that the couples from writer Park Ji Eun's previous works ("Crash Landing on You," "My Love from the Star," "Legend of the Blue Sea," more) somehow ended up together despite major challenges, "Queen of Tears" fans remain hopeful that everything will work out well for Baek Hyun Woo and Hong Hae In.
'Queen of Tears' Special To 'Ease Disappointment' With Finale
Meanwhile, tvN announced that "Queen of Tears" will have a special broadcast, highlighting that the additional episodes aim to ease the disappointment of the audience.
Due to this, fans expressed their sentiments online.
- "Disappointed? Don't do this to us. We don't want a sad ending. They deserve happiness."
- "They are low-key saying that we're going to get a trauma ending and they will give us a special episode without the main character. How is it special? This is annoying."

Further, it was also announced by the drama's production that the lead stars will not be able to film the special broadcast together due to their busy schedules.
This adds to the viewers' disappointment to seeing the lead cast reunion following the drama's conclusion.
