"Hospital Playlist" is among the well-loved K-dramas because it not only features heartwarming stories but also showcases the on-screen chemistry of the cast.
Headlined by Jo Jung Suk, Jeon Mi Do, Kim Dae Myung, Yoo Yeon Seok, and Jung Kyung Ho, they portray the role of doctors at Yulje Medical Center. In addition to this, they are also bandmates, representing the Mido and Parasol band.
For two seasons, "Hospital Playlist" entertained viewers by showcasing amazing stories of patients, doctors, and staff at Yulje.
Moreover, viewers also witnessed how relationships blossomed, from friends to lovers and from colleges to couples.
The medical K-drama said goodbye in 2021 with the season 2 finale, and viewers are now looking forward to seeing the 99ers reunite for the third season.
'Hospital Playlist' Season 3: Director Hints At Sequel
Renowned director Shin Won Ho of "Prison Playbook" and the "Reply" series previously shared an update regarding the highly-anticipated "Hospital Playlist" Season 3.
In a video uploaded to the YouTube channel "15 Ya Full Moon," the cast showed their high expectations for the third installment, leaving the director spilling his plan for the drama.
"I'll do it. I'll do it someday," PD Shin Won Ho said confidently, adding, "I'm just so grateful that these good actors want it to be like this, and the fans want it to be like this. Because you would ask me to do it (Season 3) anyway. It's hard to gather such actors."

However, the director gave an exciting hint and openly confirmed "Hospital Playlist" Season 3, adding that it's what the viewers and cast members wanted.
While waiting for the third season, here's what the "Hospital Playlist" cast is up to now.
Jeon Mi Do
After "Thirty-Nine" in 2022, Jeon Mi Do will have a comeback through the thriller-mystery series "Connection."
She will work with the OG K-drama lead star Ji Sung and "The King: Eternal Monarch" actor Kim Kyung Nam.
Slated to air in 2024, this will be Jeon Mi Do's first K-drama in two years.
Jo Jung Suk
Jo Jung Suk started the year with a new K-drama as he starred in the historical series "Captivating the King" with Shin Se Kyung.
Interestingly, he is booked and busy with back-to-back projects. The latest is his big-screen comeback, "Pilot," which will officially premiere on July 31. He is also expected to headline the movie "Land of Happiness."
Jung Kyung Ho
He received a massive response from viewers portraying the character of Choi Chi Yeol in "Crash Course in Romance" with Jeon Do Yeon.
In addition to this, he also made a cameo in "Wedding Impossible," and is in talks to headline "Labourer Noh Woo Jin" with Seol In Ah.
Yoo Yeon Seok
Yoo Yeon Seok scored multiple projects following the "Hospital Playlist" Season 2 finale.
He made a guest appearance in "Dr. Romantic" Season 3, reprising his role as Kang Dong Joo. He also starred alongside veteran actors Lee Sung Min and Lee Jung Eunin for "A Bloody Lucky Day."
Yoo Yeok Seok also starred in the film "My Puppy," alongside Cha Tae Hyun.
In 2022, he starred in the romance K-drama "The Interest of Love" with Moon Ga Young and Geum Sae Rok. In the same year, he headlined the thriller-crime drama "Narco Saints" with fellow top actors Park Hae Soo, Hwang Jung Min, Ha Jung Woo, and more.
As for his small screen comeback, Yoo Yeon Seok is selected to portray the youngest spokesperson of the Blue House, Baek Sa Eon, in the upcoming K-drama "The Number You Have Dialed." He will work alongside Chae Soo Bin.
Kim Dae Myung
Last on the list is Kim Dae Myung, who will also be returning with a new K-dra, "Light Shop."
Airing in 2024, he will be teaming up with Ju Ji Hoon, Park Bo Young, Um Tae Goo, Lee Jung Eun and more as lead stars.
