In an exclusive report by Osen, Song Hye Kyo and Gong Yoo's K-drama reportedly has a budget of billions of won.
The production cost per episode is expected to be around 3 billion won, or 2.1 million USD, and for the whole production cost of the drama, it is estimated to be around 80 billion won, or a whopping 58 million USD.

As of this writing, the outlet also mentioned that officials are still discussing whether it will be released on an OTT platform since a lot of global viewers have easy access to various streaming giants like Netflix and Disney.
What You Need to Know About Song Hye Kyo, Gong Yoo's Drama
On April 24, media outlets reported that Gong Yoo was selected to headline the upcoming historical K-drama penned by the renowned scriptwriter No Hee Kyung, whose works include "Padam Padam," "That Winter, the Wind Blows," "It's Okay, That's Love," and "Our Blues."
The actor's agency, Management SOOP, confirmed that the top star "has received an offer" and is positively reviewing it.
If Gong Yoo officially agrees to become part of the upcoming K-drama, he might work alongside Song Hye Kyo, who is also courted to play as the main character.
Like the "Train to Busan" star, Song Hye Kyo is also positively considering the offer.
As for the series' premise, since most of scriptwriter No Hee Kyung's previous K-dramas focused on deep emotions and romance, it is expected that the duo will showcase a remarkable collaboration, giving fans a reason to look forward to the upcoming historical series.
Per reports, the story will set the background from the 1950s to the 1980s, featuring a modern historical series. It will depict realistic scenes of people working in the broadcasting industry and highlight the birth of South Korea's entertainment industry.
The historical K-drama is one of Gong Yoo's upcoming projects since his return to acting. He will reprise his role in "Squid Game" Season 2 for another special appearance and will also headline the novel-based mystery romance K-drama "The Trunk" with Seo Hyun Jin.
As for Song Hye Kyo, this will be her comeback to the small screen after the 2022 hit K-drama "The Glory."
