"All of Us Are Dead" set the bar high for upcoming K-dramas by creating a huge craze on the global scene.
Following the massive response of "Squid Game," another Netflix series gained the attention of local and international viewers by showcasing action, thrillers, and horror rolled into one K-drama.
Based on the webtoon of the same name, it depicts the story of a zombie outbreak where Hyosan High School becomes ground zero.
A number of students, played by Park Ji Hu, Yoon Chan Young, Lomon, Cho Yi Hyun, and more, struggled to survive as they fought their way out.
First released in January 2022, "All of Us Are Dead" immediately became one of the most watched series of the year.
With the massive response of the public, Netflix and drama officials confirmed the renewal of the series.
'All of Us Are Dead' Season 2
During Netflix's Geeked Week, the streaming giant confirmed the highly anticipated "All of Us Are Dead" season 2.
"Get ready to outrun even more Gen Z zombies because "All of Us Are Dead" is crawling back for Season 2."
While fans are looking forward to watching the sequel in 2024, media outlets speculate that Netflix will air the K-zombie series sometime in 2025.
That is because "Squid Game" season 2, which is also one of the original series on Netflix, will be premiering in the second half of 2024.
"Assuming Squid Game releases toward the end of 2024, All of Us Are Dead season 2 could be eyeing an early 2025 release," the report reads.
