Shin Seul Ki looks back at her first on-screen appearance and why she almost didn't make it to "Single's Inferno" season 2.

While some of the viewers recognized the 26-year-old beauty from the K-drama "Pyramid Game," she first gained fame on the Netflix reality dating show.

Shin Seul Ki Revealed Why She Almost Failed to Appear in 'Single's Inferno' Season 2

During her guest appearance on MBC's "Radio Star," Shin Seul Ki mentioned how she almost failed to appear in "Single's Inferno" season 2.

In a report, the reality star turned actress was then a student of Seoul National University's piano department when she joined the show's second season.

According to her, she expected that her father would oppose her decision, so instead of asking her parents for their permission to join the show, Shin Seul Ki only mentioned it when she became one of the official contestants.

To recall, Shin Seul Ki exudes a princess-like lifestyle on the show because of her elite personal background.

Her family owns a 20-story building in the affluent neighborhood of Sinsa-dong in Seoul, which is reportedly worth around 100 billion KRW or 78.2 million USD.

Other than her impressive educational background, Shin Seul Ki's father is one of South Korea's top plastic surgeons. To add to that, he is the founder and head surgeon at BIO Plastic Surgery.

Despite her background, Shin Seul Ki chose to join the reality dating show for one thing.

She told the host of MBC's "Radio Star" the reason she tried her luck and joined "Single's Inferno" season 2.

Expressing her confidence, she said, "There was no contestant like me."

Shin Seul Ki Dishes on Her 'Single's Inferno' Season 2 Experience With DEX

During the show's airing, Shin Seul Ki entertained the viewers with her chemistry with fellow contestant DEX, who at that time introduced himself as a former UDT soldier.

The "Pyramid Game" star revealed that she never watched an episode of "Single's Inferno" season 2 because she was embarrassed by the flirting scenario with DEX.

To recall, one of the memorable scenes in the second season is Shin Seul Ki and DEX's time in Paradise, where they spend time at the pool talking and getting to know each other.

While the duo's connection served as one of the highlights of the show, Shin Seul Ki ended up leaving the island with Choi Jong Woo.

The scene also left the host, especially Lee Da Hee and Kyuhun, in tears after seeing such a wonderful surprise.

After the show, the two remained friends and would post each other on their respective Instagram accounts multiple times; however, both Shin Seul Ki and Choi Jong Woo neither confirmed nor denied if they dated outside the island.
