Kim Hye Yoon Makes Her First Solo Variety Show Appearance Following 'Lovely Runner's' Finale
On June 4, the much-awaited variety show guest appearance of Kim Hye Yoon in "Teum" finally happened. Following the huge success of her comeback series "Lovely Runner" along with Byeon Woo Seok, the actress is experiencing a lot of new things.
From the surge of popularity, receiving negative comments, to experiencing burnout, the award-winning actress shared all of these during the interview with Yoo Jae Suk and Yoo Yeon Seok.
Kim Hye Yoon shared updates about her life after concluding filming of the hit drama "Lovely Runner."
According to the young actress, she's been staying at home most of the days. Since the filming period for the rom-com series was a bit long. She's been taking a lot of rest since the shoot ended in April.
Yoo Yeon Seok Admires Kim Hye Yoon's Acting Journey
As she marks her 12 years in the industry since debut, the "Snowdrop" star reflected on her career, "I began acting when I was a freshman in high school." Hearing her years of experience, Yoo Yeon Seok showed his admiration for Kim Hye Yoon.
"When you look at her filmography, she has a lot of minor roles. She gradually worked her way up, and rose to fame with 'SKY Castle.' Seeing her progress is very impressive. I also spent a decade in obscurity after debuting in 'Oldboy."
Kim Hye Yoon Admits to Experiencing Burnout
She was asked by the seasoned actor if she anticipated the success of "Lovely Runner," Kim Hye Yoon replied, "Watching the pilot episode, although I filmed it, I thought it was really fun. But I never imagined it'd become this popular."
As their conversation went on, the young star confessed that she is currently experiencing burnout, and asked for advice from Yoo Yeon Seok.
The "Hospital Playlist" actor thoughtfully responded, "I engage in hobbies I like. That helps me. When you need to clear your mind but can't, it's important to find something else to focus your attention on. Doing something I love helps me overcome my slump."
Regarding how she handles negative comments, the "Cleaning Up" star said "I'm curious at first, so I check the reactions a few times. But I only glance through them lightly." She added,
"I tend to avoid reading hate comments because it takes a toll on me."
