‘Connection’ Episode 5: Ji Sung, Jeon Mi Do Suspects Affair Between Kwon Yul and Jung Yoo Min

Ji Sung and Jeon Mi Do's drama "Connection" is getting intense as the main characters uncover the secret behind the mysterious death of their friend.

Amid this, suspicion grew regarding the true relationship between Jung Yoo Min and Kwon Yul's characters.

Helmed by Kim Moon Kyo of "Trolley" and penned by "Diary of a Prosecutor" screenwriter Lee Hyun, "Connection" is an action crime K-drama that depicts the story of an ace detective, Jang Jae Kyung, who just got promoted as a chief of drug investigation unite and his journey to crack down on drug-related incidents.

However, he becomes a drug addict after falling into the trap of a syndicate as their revenge on Jang Jae Kyung.

On top of it, he learned that his former high school best friend died of suicide, but he thinks that it was a foul play.

To unveil the truth, he teams up with reporter Oh Yoon Jin to expose the people behind it.

'Connection' Viewership

As the drama nears the end of its first half, more viewers are getting hooked on the thriller crime series.

In a report, Neilsen Korea recorded an average nationwide rating of 8.5 percent, continuing its perfect streak of marking an all-time high viewership.

In addition to this, "Connection," episode 5 also lands as the most watched series on its time slot across all channels.

'Connection' Episode 5 Recap: Is Park Jun Seok's Wife Having an Affair With Prosecutor Park Tae Jin

The 5th episode starts with Jang Jae Kyung getting CCTV footage relating to Lee Myung Guk and Park Jun Seo's deaths.

However, just minutes after looking around the construction site, the store owner was brutally murdered by an unidentified person.

Clues led him to look into a taxi company after a witness mentioned that the culprit must have taken a taxi going to Pil-o-dong.

On the other hand, KH Group's Chief Secretary, Oh Chi Hyun, discovered that the person behind the murder of the mill owner was Jung Yoon Ho but chose to hide it from Won Jong Soo and prosecutor Park Tae Jin.

Meanwhile, Oh Yoon Jin is looking into the wife of Park Jun Seo and her surprising connection with the prosecutor. She thinks that there might be a certain connection between the two after seeing him at her place.

Due to this, she asked her junior colleague to watch Choi Ji Yeon's every move and see if Park Tae Jin would visit her place.

However, the person he saw was Jang Jae Hyuk, who wanted to check Park Jun Seo's laptop and see if there would be pieces of evidence regarding his death.

Interestingly, he was surprised to see prosecutor Park Tae Jin coming into the house and knew the house's password at the front door.

Jang Jae Kyung thinks that the two are having an affair and might be connected to Jun Seo's death.
