Byeon Woo Seok Proves His 'Absolute Trendsetter' Status By Topping Drama Actor Trend Index

From a promising star to becoming a superstar, Byeon Woo Seok is indeed harvesting the fruit of his labor this 2024. Aside from his sold-out fan meeting tour in Asia, back-to-back brand collaborations, and left and right drama script offers, the actor has been dominating various charts. 

According to the latest rankings from Rankify on June 25, Byeon Woo Seok's popularity outshined the combined total of other actors' trend indices. He's solidified his status as the 'absolute trendsetter.'

The ranking is a sum of the Google Trend Index and Naver search volume from June 17 to June 23, 2024, and for the 2nd week of June index, data collected from June 10 to June 16.

In the provided report, Rankify used its own big data analysis system and examined the rankings for drama actors in the fourth week of June. Byeon Woo Seok topped the list with a surprising score of 83, 904 points. 

Cha Eun Woo, Ji Chang Wook Secure Their Spots in Top 5

Cha Eun Woo took second place with 11,420 points, down 1,495 points from the previous week. 

Ji Chang Wook climbed to third place with 6,078 points, up 2,944 from the previous week. Kim Jung Eun ranked 4th with 6,075 points, Lee Jae Young took 5th place with 5,940 points. 

"My Demon" actress Kim Yoo Jung ranked 6th with 5,403 points, and Kim Min Seok took seventh place with 4,977 points. Meanwhile, veteran actress Lee Young Ae occupied the 8th spot with 4,905 points.

Lee Sang Yi and Jung Sun Ah ranked 9th and 10th with points of 4,822 and 4,767, respectively. 

As a result of the gender preference analysis, 14% of men and 86% of women voted for Byeon Woo Seok, and 29% of men and 71% of women voted for Cha Eun Woo. 

In terms of age, the "Lovely Runner" actor's popularity is evenly spread: 7% teenagers, 23% people in their 20s, 30% among those in their 30s and 40s, and 10% among those in their 50s. 

Meanwhile, Byeon Woo Seok and Cha Eun Woo are both nominated for this year's Seoul International Drama Awards.
