In case you are confused about where to start, here's a list of Chinese dramas that you could binge-watch over the weekend.

'Meteor Garden'

Following the hit Taiwanese series, which was later adapted into a K-drama starring Lee Min Ho, the Chinese remake of "Meteor Garden" was released in 2018.

Helmed by "Cruel Romance" director Lin He Long, the adaptation had a 49-episode run and had the same producer as the Taiwanese series.

Headlined by Shen Yue as Dong Shan Cai, the F4 members include Dylan Wang as Dao Ming, Darren Chen as Hua Ze Lei, Caesar Wu as Xi Men Yan, and Leon Leong as Feng Mei Zuo

Based on the Japanese manga "Boys Over Flowers," it depicts the story of an ordinary high school student who managed to get into the country's most prestigious school.

There, she encountered the campus' most popular group, F4, and clashed with their group leader, Dao Ming Si.

It's basically a unique cute-meet-story with me against the world plot, but in a modern-day era.

'Ode to Joy'

Dubbed the Chinese version of "Sex and the City," "Ode to Joy" focuses on the lives of five women who are in their 20s and early 30s.

Living on the same apartment floor in Shanghai, the story centers on their different struggles in life while living in the big city.

First released in 2016, the rom-com C-drama also highlights the modern age of dating. It stars Liu Tao, Jiang Xin, Wang Zi Wen, Yang Zi, and Qiao Xin.

'The First Half of My Life'

Based on the novel of the same name, "The First Half of My Life" is a romance life drama that depicts the story of a 33-year-old housewife named Luo Zi Jun (Ma Yi Li).

Just when she thought that her marriage was in a calm state, she later realized that her relationship with her husband was on the rocks.

She was caught off guard after her husband asked her for a divorce. This pushed her to return to the workforce with the help of her highly independent and career-oriented best friend.

Amid this, Luo Zi Jun gets involved in an unexpected love triangle.
