With the global craze on Hallyu wave, selected Korean celebrities made it to the iconic Madame Tussauds Wax Museum, which is known for its collection of lifelike wax figures.
From icons like Audrey Hepburn, Beyonce, and Brad Pitt to notable individuals like Albert Einstein, Dalai Lama, Queen Elizabeth II, and more, the museum honors personalities who marked huge success in various industries.
Interestingly, other than Hollywood celebrities and notable individuals, the Madame Tussauds Wax Museum also included some K-drama stars and Korean celebrities.
These stars have gained significance in the entertainment industry and gained popularity worldwide.
Here are some K-drama stars who were honored to have lifelike wax figures.
Hyun Bin
In 2023, Madame Tussauds Singapore introduced Hyun Bin's first-ever wax figure.
The Hallyu star has amassed huge popularity through the hit K-dramas "Kim Samsoon," "Secret Garden," and the iconic "Crash Landing on You."
As mentioned by Madame Tussauds Singapore General Manager Steven Chung,
"Hyun Bin is one of the most popular and beloved actors in South Korea, and we know that fans around the world will be excited to see his lifelike wax figure up close."
Bae Suzy
Dubbed as "Nation's First Love," Bae Suzy met her lifesize wax figure in 2016 at Madame Tussauds Hong Kong.
In addition to this, she was the first Korean female celebrity actress to be featured in a wax figure at the museum.
Lee Jong Suk's wax figure was displayed at the museum's K-Wave Zone, along with famous K-stars.
Lee Min Ho
Lee Min Ho's wax museum was introduced in 2013 at Madame Tussauds Singapore. It was during the height of his hit K-drama, "The Heirs."
Interestingly, 8 years later, the museum updated the South Korean star wax figure in 2021 after concluding the K-drama "The King: Eternal Monarch."
Lee Jong Suk
Lee Jong Suk posed beside his wax figure in 2016, delighting fans with his "doppelgänger."
In a report, the South Korean heartthrob expressed how thrilled he is to see the lifesize wax figure on flesh.
"This is incredibly fascinating. I'm happy to experience something new."
Im Siwan
The latest K-drama actor to have a lifesize wax figure is Im Siwan.
Madame Tussauds Hong Kong unveiled the wax figure of the "Boyhood" actor, showcasing an almost identical look.
Because of the uncanny resemblance, the photo instantly went viral, with netizens lauding that the wax figure looked more like Im Siwan.
