On the picture posted on Jim Sturgess's friend's social media account, Bae Doona, Jim Sturgess, and the friend are posing for the camera. With the picture, the friend posted, "One of the nicest, most genuine actors I've ever met, Mr Jim Sturgess, and his lovely girlfriend Doona Bae. Seriously gonna miss this guy. Wonderful people," introducing Bae Doona as Jim Sturgess's girlfriend.

Bae Doona and Jim Sturgess starred in the movie "Cloud Atlas" together which premiered in January of 2013. There has been a rumor that Bae Doona and Jim Sturgess were going out in December of 2012, but the two had denied it. Back in February of 2013, an American news media posted a picture of Bae Doona holding hands with Jim Sturgess and walking on the street.
