NME Acknowledged 'Queen of Tears,' 'Lovely Runner,' More as Best K-Dramas of 2024

Based on the news cited by a media outlet, NME, a prominent British pop culture magazine, recently released the "10 Best K-Dramas of 2024 -So Far" and dominating the list are series produced by CJ ENM, showcasing their dominance in the drama category. 

NME noted, "The Korean drama world in 2024 has been filled with romance and thrills, and we are only halfway through the year."

The famous British pop culture magazine praised Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ji Won's "Queen of Tears," which obtained high rating records throughout its run and even made history as it became the most high-rated K-dramas in tvN. 

It garnered 24.9 percent viewership during its finale episode and remained in Netflix's global chart top 10 for 15 consecutive weeks. Adding to its achievements is the accumulated 600 million hours of viewing. 

The publisher described the series as 'undoubtedly a masterclass' for its balance between humor, emotional depth, and exploration of the human condition.

"Lovely Runner" also made it to the list. It was lauded for creating a cultural phenomenon, with its unique narrative, providing viewers with a true rollercoaster ride.

Another global hit, "Marry My Husband" starring Park Min Young and Na In Woo entered the list, which was introduced as a dramatic and addictive work. The newly concluded series "The Midnight Romance in Hagwon" was described as a refreshing breeze in the K-drama scene this 2024. "Pyramid Game," on the other hand, was highlighted for its dark charm and brilliant performances of rising young actresses Jang Da Ah, Ryu Da In, and Kim Ji Yeon.
