Park Sung Hoon announced it through an Instagram video, with the caption "Coming Soon." The clip showed the actor flexing his acting chops as he teased the collaboration with a clever play of the word "Ragu."

While many were immersed in the actor's deep voice and captivating acting in the clip, a significant number of fans also expressed their disappointment in his latest work, because Burger King has been named as one of the brands targeted by the BDS boycott list in support of Palestine.

According to the source, the mentioned fast-food chain is one of the four included organic target brands in the Boycott, Divest, and Sanctions movement.

Based on the published reports, the chain's Israeli franchise provides free meals to the Israeli military as they lead a deadly onslaught on civilian life in the Gaza Strip of Palestine.

As a result, Park Sung Hoon's uploaded video was bombarded with comments from disappointed fans who urged him to honor the boycott for the cause.

  • "Boycott Burger King"
  • "Mianhe Oppa, I can't follow you again, you choose them, I'll choose Palestine."
  • "Speak about Palestine"
  • "I wanted to say I love you but you let me down."
  • "Boycotting you with the brand."
  • "Shame on you"
  • "You contribute to killing our children. You are being hated."

The criticism spread not just on Instagram but also to other social media platforms. Some claimed that these brands on the boycott list were particularly targeting the Korean entertainment industry.

Park Sung Hoon was not the only star who was dragged into this issue but also some big K-pop groups and idols.

Meanwhile, Park Sung Hoon is currently filming his upcoming drama "Squid Game 2," which is composed of a stellar cast. This marks his next screen project following "Queen of Tears."
