'Love Next Door' Recap Episode 14: A Marriage Proposal Is Rejected Ahead of Finale Weekend

Episode 14 starts with Jung Hae In understanding that Jung So Min is an important person in his life. She is the only person on his mind during his accident flashback. After the main couple returns from the hospital, it's revealed that Jung Hae In submitted one of Jung So Min's dishes in a food competition, and it won third place.
Kim Ji Eun's mother is against a possible romantic relationship between her daughter and Yoon Ji On. She supported their separation and even acts cold towards his little girl.

In the midst of Jung Hae In preparing the perfect marriage proposal, Kim Ji Eun and Yoon Ji On ask the main couple for relationship advice. Jung Hae In and Jung So Min set up a meeting with the second couple. Kim Ji Eun and Yoon Ji On make up, confess their true feelings, and share a kiss.
Jung So Min's finds out their restaurant competition actually sells delicious food. The main couple films their first recipe tutorial video.

Kim Ji Eun calms her mother's fears about her raising Yoon Ji On's little girl by stating that she will be happy with them.
Jung So Min's parents give in to the competition and close the restaurant. They decide to focus on an enjoyable retirement instead. Meanwhile, Yoon Ji On still tries to get close to Kim Ji Eun's mom.
Everything is threatening to ruin Jung Hae In's perfect proposal. From car trouble to food delays, nothing is going his way. He proposes to her with a bracelet, and she flat out rejects him. He gets depressed and confides in Yoon Ji On. On a happier note, Kim Ji Eun's mother witnesses a happy outing with her daughter, her boyfriend, and his little girl. She finally decides to give the relationship her blessing.
The main couple eventually discuss why she rejected his proposal. Her fear of the unknown kept her from accepting, and he expressed that life is short and they need to make the most of their lives together. Their parents witness the main couple embracing.
The romantic comedy airs its finale episodes this Saturday and Sunday at 9:20 PM KST on tvN. The global audience can stream it on Netflix.
