'Dong Jae: The Good or The Bastard' is a spin-off of the 2017 crime thriller 'Stranger.' This series follows the life of a prosecutor with a dark past. His new murder case gives him an opportunity to change his future or return to his opportunist roots. The new crime thriller also stars Park Sung Woong, Lee Seong Woo, and Kim Su Gyeom.

Lee Joon Hyuk is completely dedicated to his on-screen roles. His exterior and personality transform for his jobs.
"Since I've taken on characters of all types in roles both good and bad, I wanted to make myself unrecognizable to the audience. So I decided to transform my body and change my voice," he said in a 2023 interview with 'The Korea Times' promoting his 'The Roundup: No Way Out' film.
He went on to say, "Now I lost all the weight I gained for the film, but when I was bigger, I loved seeing people's reactions. I became more extroverted after gaining weight. My personality changed. So did the music I listened to and the films I watched."
