South Korean model Kim Na Jung is being investigated after posting disturbing confessions about taking drugs on her Instagram page.
Now, an official complaint has been made to the police about posts from the 32-year-old former announcer, which are being investigated.
In one of her posts on Instagram, Kim said that she feared for her life and was in a death-threatening situation in Manila on the 12th of November.
In her posts, she mentioned that she had used illegal drugs before describing the airport as unsafe. "I feel like I'm going to die if I get on this flight. The airport is not safe. Please help me," she said. Those messages were subsequently cleared away, however.
Kim allegedly reached out to South Korean authorities in the embassy in the Philippines, asking to be repatriated.
She is said to have claimed she was in a "dangerous situation" but did not elaborate on what threats she was facing. She received assistance of some kind, but the embassy has not revealed whether she is safe or not.
Following her posts, an anonymous internet user submitted an official petition to the Seoul police and expressed that because Kim is suspected of drug use, this may have a "negative impact" on teenagers and requested to summon Kim and investigate.
It is rumored that Kim has reported to the police station along with her drugs for investigative questioning.
It is unknown if this happened prior to or after the anonymous complaint.
The incident is still developing, and authorities have not provided additional information regarding the investigation.
